Freshlook Contacts

Get Freshlook contacts for a vibrant color and a new look.

Freshlook contacts, made by Alcon, are a vibrant range of colored contact lenses. They come in a range of fantastic colors suitable for dark and light eyes.

In the past, many colored contacts used to give a very false appearance and it was obvious someone was wearing colored lenses. But Freshlook Colorblends contacts use a special 3-in-1 technology that blends three different colors to give a more natural look.

Freshlook color contacts come in a variety of colors to suit both light and dark eye colors.

Trying to decide which color to choose can be difficult as there are several different sub-brands within the Freshlook contacts range, so I've pulled together a quick guide below to help you see what is available:

Freshlook Colorblends - Available in 12 different colors for a natural color change with patented 3-in-1 techology. Suitable for light and dark eyes with a base curve of 8.6 and a diameter of 14.5. Popular colors include blue, green, gray and brown but there are also innovative colors like amethyst and sapphire. Also available as a Toric lens but in 4 colors only - gray, blue, green and hazel.

Freshlook Dimensions - These are color enhancing lenses so only suit people with light-colored eyes and come in aqua, blue and sea-green. Same BC and diameter as the Colorblends lenses.

Freshlook Colors - FreshLook Colors Contact Lenses are specifically for patients with DARK eyes. You can choose from a range of 4 shades that blend beautifully with the natural color of your eyes. Freshlook lenses use a unique 3-in-1 color technology that allows the beauty of your natural eye color to blend with the shade you select for a natural appearance and cost $75.99 per box of 6 lenses.

Are Freshlook Contact Lenses Comfortable?

I can't give you personal feedback on whether Freshlook's various lenses are comfortable as I've never tried them. Why? Because I once tried Focus Dailies which have the same diameter and found them uncomfortable as the diameter was the wrong shape for my eye.

Compared to my Acuvue Most daily lenses which have a base curve of 8.5 and a diameter of 14.2, Freshlook Colorblends are the wrong size as they have a base curve of 8.6 (which would be fine) but a diameter of 14.5 ie. too big for me.

That's why it's SO important to have your lenses FITTED by a qualified optician even if you have perfect vision and just want to wear colored lenses for cosmetic reasons.

But I took a look at a few reviews on various websites like ACLens.com and while wearers love the natural color, many of them complain about dry eyes and a gritty feeling after only a few hours of wear. See the page on AC Lens for example reviews of Freshlook Colorblends contacts. Some reviewers say this is because the lenses are too wide.
